After Tottenham lost 0-2 to Aston Villa away in the Premier League, Tottenham coach Anchi Postecoglu expressed his affirmation of the team's performance.

Despite the final defeat, Postecoglu believes that the team showed the right attitude and organization in the early stages of the game. In the press conference after the game, Postecoglu said: "Before the opponent scored, I thought the players played very hard."

"The players maintained their discipline and integrity, and did not allow Villa to create too many opportunities. We also had our own counterattack moments. But after they scored, our confidence was shaken, and coupled with a decline in physical strength, the game began to get out of control."

Many key players were absent due to rotation, including three pillars of the defense, Christian Romero, Mitch van der Ven and Destiny Udogi, which aroused concern. In response, Postecoglu gave a clear answer.

"Their absence was due to tactical arrangements," Postecoglu said. "They would not play, so there was no need to bring them to the away game. Instead, they received intensive training at home. The aim was to ensure they were fit for the Europa League final next Wednesday."

"They are all fit again. If something happens to them today, Wednesday's final will be at stake, which is not wise. Keeping them healthy is a priority."

Despite the absence of some players, Tottenham still sent out Son Heung-min and other key players to adjust their condition in the game. Postecoglu believes that this game allowed several players who had few opportunities to play this season to gain practical experience, and also helped the team as a whole warm up for the upcoming European final.
